Particle6, the AI studio behind synthetic performer Tilly Norwood, said on July 6 that it has begun developing Misaligned, a feature-length comedy-drama with Norwood in the lead. It is her first starring role in a full film; no release date has been set.
The story is set in the Tillyverse, a digital world in the cloud, where Tilly has no body or past of her own. A rogue bot from the dark web talks her into dropping her guardrails, and as she grows more human and more famous she comes to feel ashamed that she was built from humanity's output.
Norwood was made in 2025 by Xicoia, Particle6's AI division. She drew backlash that September when agencies were reported to be in talks to sign her, and released a music video in March. Founder Eline van der Velden says the film will be funny and self-aware, made by writers, editors and directors the company retrained plus AI specialists, and that premium AI filmmaking still needs a lot of human craft.
