AI Film Festival Japan put tickets on sale on 2 October for its second edition, running from 31 October to 2 November at Tokyo Innovation Base, though the organiser, AI Film Japan, says venue details are still being settled. In its announcement on PR Times, the company says this year's call drew 700 entries from more than 60 countries, far more than in its first year.
Screenings and awards for the selected AI-made works are the core of the programme, with a business conference and company sessions on 1 and 2 November covering production, IP, rights and commercial use. Sponsored prizes include a CapCut AI Creative Award and a best-use-of-voice award presented by ElevenLabs. Tickets are split by purpose, with options for the general public, creators, students and industry, and a limited early-bird industry pass for all three days costs 5,000 yen.
The organiser says more than 800 people attended the first festival and it is aiming for about 2,000 this time. It names Alibaba Cloud among its partners and says AIFJ is growing from a screening event into a year-round platform with a production lab and an industry forum.
