We Are Charlie Kirk

We Are Charlie Kirk is a dramatic tribute ballad in a 1980s power-ballad, Christian-anthem style, credited to Spalexma with Sargis Poghosyan as songwriter. It came out on 16 September 2025, six days after Charlie Kirk was killed. Wikipedia quotes Politico calling it entirely AI-generated, and says Deezer's detection software flagged it. Spalexma has no social media presence and, per Wikipedia, put out eighteen Christian albums in 2025 that are presumed AI-generated.

The song spread through AI-made videos of conservative figures singing it, and then through TikTok commemorations and memes, with over 58,000 TikTok videos by Wikipedia's count. It topped Spotify's Viral 50 Global, and debuted on Billboard's Hot Christian Songs at number 26 in December 2025, peaking at 21 the next week. Critics were harsh: Paste ranked it the worst song of 2025. The label is SP Music Project. On 2026-10-06 Spotify showed about 13.9 million plays and the Topic upload on YouTube about 67,000 views.
