About this song
"The Expendables" is an Endless Taverns single released on 4 September 2026, a crossover inspired by the video game Helldivers 2 and Warhammer 40,000. Its lyrics joke about a squad of heroes dropped by pod into a war that never ends, only to be replaced at once by an identical squad, charging through bots and bugs without asking about the target. The official video, captioned "Hell... it's about time", has passed 34,000 views and the track 40,000 Spotify plays. The description labels the song "Human-made // AI Assisted" and names Suno AI, MiniMax, Seedance 2.5 and GPT5.6. Endless Taverns is the YouTube and Spotify act of an unnamed independent creator, described on its channel as a digital designer laid off in November 2023 who turned to AI to bring their ideas to life; it releases a new fandom-inspired single most weeks.
