About this song
"Still the Hero (A Thousand Leaves)" is a single by Kelly Boesch, a visual artist who makes AI videos and songs, released on 14 August 2026 by Gelsomina Studios under exclusive licence to Nettwerk Music Group; her video titles it "Still A Hero (A Thousand Leaves)". She calls it the most personal song she has written: it came from a visit to her birth father in the Ohio town where she grew up, about a man she remembers as a loving, music-mad former radio DJ who she feels doubts he was a good father, and about the green summers of the Cuyahoga Valley. She wrote the lyrics and the music was made under her direction with help from Suno.
