About this song
"Not Made for the Cage" is a single by Kelly Boesch, a visual artist who makes AI videos and songs, released on 15 May 2026 by Gelsomina Studios under exclusive licence to Nettwerk Music Group. It is one of several songs she has written about her childhood: growing up in a Midwestern town where most people tried to fit in, feeling out of place as a girl who loved to make and wear unusual clothes, and leaving for Los Angeles. She wrote the lyrics, the music was created under her direction with help from Suno, and Marshall Altman added guitar and synth along with production and mixing. She posted it the same day as a surreal AI video and says AI opened doors for her she had not imagined. On 4 October 2026 it had 2,786,127 Spotify plays and about 751,000 YouTube views.
