Ashes before dawn

Ashes before dawn is the second album by Draugr Balled, a fictional Viking rapper that Know Your Meme names as one of the most prominent acts in the AI Viking rap trend on TikTok and streaming services. It came out on 29 September 2026 as a self-release, with the act's own name on the ℗ line, and holds ten tracks over 34 minutes 56 seconds: When the Fires Fade, The Beast, Home Wrecker, Against the World, Digital Viking, Wake the Druagr, Stay with Me, Falling Backwards, When the Light Finds Us and Call My Name. It follows the May 2026 album Neon Midnight and a string of singles released through the year. Deezer files the album under Rap/Hip Hop and marks it with its AI-generated content flag; the coverage describes the wider trend as songs built with tools such as Suno and paired with AI-made visuals, without naming who runs this act. A day after release Spotify showed no play counts for its tracks yet.
