Telisha "Nikki" Jones is a 31-year-old poet and design-studio owner from Olive Branch, Mississippi, who created the AI singer Xania Monet in 2025 while teaching herself to use AI. She has written poems for years about her own experiences and those of family and friends, and turns them into songs by pasting the lyrics into Suno with prompts such as slow-tempo R&B and soulful female vocals, refreshing until she gets a result she likes; her manager Romel Murphy said about 90 percent of the lyrics come from her own life.

Biography
Jones grew up singing in church but says she is not a singer, and told CBS Mornings in November 2025 that Xania is an extension of her and that she treats AI as an instrument rather than a shortcut. The project's chart success led to a multimillion-dollar deal with Hallwood Media and to criticism from artists such as Kehlani.
