Luks presents itself as a virtual character. The Instagram and TikTok bios read "Eu não sou um robô, sou um influenciador virtual" ("I am not a robot, I am a virtual influencer") and say it lives in the metaverse. The operator confirms this: the Brazilian site Nosso Meio reports that Lucas Rangel announced "Luks" as a virtual character in the metaverse with physical features close to his own, and that he spent R$ 240,000 on it as one of the first projects of LR Tech, the technology arm of his company LR Contents. Rangel is quoted saying Luks can do anything because online everything is possible, and Startupi quotes him calling the launch of Luks a milestone for his career.

No source names a human voice actor, model or puppeteer behind the character, and every post the research read shows a 3D-rendered figure placed in real scenes. The only human tied to it is its creator and owner, Rangel, whom Luks is modelled on. That fits an AI persona with no performer behind it.

One caveat: none of the pages calls Luks AI-generated. It is described as a 3D virtual character built by a studio, so "AI" here means a fabricated persona rather than a generative-AI product. How the voice and animation are produced is not documented, and if a human performer turned up the verdict would become hybrid. The account is dormant: the last posts read are from March 2023 on Instagram and May 2022 on TikTok.
