Chef Jade

Chef Jade says she is virtual on her own channels. Her YouTube channel introduces her as "your Virtual Human Chef", and the research recorded "Virtual Human" at the start of her Instagram bio. VirtualHumans.org, which tracks virtual influencers, lists her with a first appearance on 8 November 2020 and a made-up life story: born in Hatsukaichi, Japan, raised in Springfield, Illinois, now living in Rome with her dog Zelda. In its 2021 interview, Christopher Travers calls her a virtual human persona, and she answers in character.

No page names a human who models, voices or acts her out. That is why the answer is yes rather than partly. A 2021 press release found in the research says a company called Jade and Zelda made her with 3D animation and CGI and signed her to V2 Management. But that page would not load, so the claim rests on a search summary and has not been checked. No platform label marking her as AI was recorded, and her TikTok bio does not say she is virtual.

Some things are still unknown. Nobody has publicly named the people who write her posts, cook the recipes or voice her videos. It is also not clear whether her images today are hand-made 3D renders or come from generative AI tools. The evidence that she is a made-up character is strong. Who is behind her is the open question.
