Chad Nelson

With 25 years in interactive design and entertainment, Chad Nelson is an acclaimed creative director and technology strategist whose work spans video games, social media, TV and mobile applications. He serves as a Creative Specialist at OpenAI, having launched one of the first AI-based films, the award-winning animated short Critterz, the first AI-based Vogue cover featuring Bella Hadid, and worked with the research team in announcing Sora. He wrote and directed the 2023 short Critterz, which combined visuals generated by OpenAI's DALL-E with traditional animation techniques, and is creator and producer (Vertigo Films: "consulting producer"; Forbes via Vertigo: "creator and co-producer") of the feature-length Critterz.
