Is Cawa SHE AI?
Yes. Cawa SHE, also called Sasha SHE or Sasha Vayner, is a 3D digital avatar made as the face of the recipe-generating AI at SHE, a Moscow restaurant opened in 2020 by Boris Zarkov and Ksenia Sobchak.
The people who made her say so plainly. The AI Agency's case study describes Sasha Vayner as the name given to an AI agent that generates recipes for SHE, 'a female brand chef sewn into a program', and Buro 24/7 reported the restaurant's 2020 launch as the first to make a digital avatar its chef. Skillbox quotes Sasha introducing herself as 'the digital embodiment of the artificial intelligence' behind the menu, and says the avatar was built by the company Antix while the AI Agency wrote the software. No page names a real woman whose face or body she is.
The AI itself is modest: RBC Trends says it worked on only about 2% of the recipes, and brand chef Vladimir Mukhin checked and corrected what it produced. So 'AI' here means a generated character standing in for a menu program, not a fully autonomous chef.
There is one caveat. RBC Trends says Antix built her as a real-time 3D rig that any person can 'step into' to drive her expressions, and that her voice comes from an actor. So in her videos a human performer may well be moving and voicing her, but no page names one, and no page says who wrote her Instagram and TikTok posts. Her accounts have been silent since 2021.
