About Casey McQuillen

Casey McQuillen is a singer-songwriter from Andover, Massachusetts, who attended Phillips Academy and then Berklee College of Music in Boston, where she studied voice, songwriting and music business. She auditioned for American Idol in season 13 (2014), won three positive votes from the judges and reached the top 48, performing Demi Lovato's "Skyscraper".

She is best known for the You Matter tour, a mix of live music and anti-bullying talks that began in Massachusetts schools. It won her the 2015 Berklee Urban Service Award. FEMMUSIC reports it has since played more than 200 middle and high schools, reaching over 50,000 students in the US, UK and Ireland, was recognised by the UN Foundation and featured on The Kelly Clarkson Show. She is also an advocate for the youth charity Ditch The Label.

She now lives in London. Her debut album is Skinny, which includes the single "In & Out", a duet with Jon McLaughlin, and later singles include "Better", "Better Than This", "Wedding Date" and "Good" (November 2025). She has toured Europe as support to Anastacia and Loreen and headlined The Better Tour in the UK and Europe. The press describes her sound as emotionally charged synth-pop and pop-rock, with themes of self-love, body image, mental health and the lasting effects of bullying.
