Summary

Candice Klubb is a virtual model, a 3D avatar created in Melbourne, Australia, and one of six avatars of the virtual model agency Klubb Visuals, which Lucas Klubb founded in 2019 at sixteen. She first appeared on 18 July 2019, according to VirtualHumans.org. Her Instagram bio reads "virtual model" and the account is managed by @klubbvisuals. In June 2020 she and fellow avatar Bambi walked a virtual catwalk for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia, and press reports that the pair later featured in Vogue Italia, Harper's Bazaar Vietnam, Elle China and Elle Portugal. The Fashion Week described her as "a powerful, bold and confident virtual model". Her Instagram has about 3,570 followers and its last post is from February 2021; VirtualHumans.org marks her "Inactive or Discontinued".

Is Candice Klubb AI?

Yes. Candice Klubb is a computer-generated 3D virtual model, one of six avatars made by Melbourne teenager Lucas Klubb for his virtual model agency Klubb Visuals; no real person models as her.

The clearest evidence comes from her maker. A December 2020 press release on EIN Presswire, repeated almost word for word by the Australian site Internet Retailing, says Lucas Klubb, then 16, founded Klubb Visuals in 2019 as a virtual model agency, that its avatars "are created in a 3D workspace and are completely virtual", and names Candice as one of its six avatars. Kahawatungu describes Lucas as a 3D artist who builds CGI avatars and publishes tutorials on how he makes them. Her own Instagram bio calls her a "virtual model" and lists Klubb Visuals as her management, and VirtualHumans.org files her as a virtual influencer.

No page names a human model, performer or voice behind her, and her work was purely visual: still images and a virtual catwalk for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia in June 2020, so there was no voice or filmed body to account for. Note that "AI" here means a computer-generated character rather than one made with today's generative AI tools; the sources describe 3D modelling software, not image generators.

What is less certain is how much she is still run at all. Her Instagram has not posted since February 2021, Klubb Visuals' website did not load, and VirtualHumans.org marks her inactive or discontinued. The press coverage also traces back largely to one press release, so the account of her career is the agency's own.
