Boffo the Bear

Boffo the Bear is a cartoon bear character, a pompous blue bear in Hollywood who hosts his own interview talk show and game show, voiced and performed live by the actor and comedian Mark DeCarlo. The show premiered on Facebook in April 2020 as a live comedy programme during the COVID-19 pandemic and moved to YouTube that June, billing Boffo as the first cartoon to host a live worldwide show, with edgy celebrity interviews, comedic monologues and remote sketches. Wikipedia describes it as an internet sitcom on Facebook Live and YouTube using realtime CGI programmed by Julian Sarmiento of FuseFX, and credits DeCarlo as writer, director and voice. DeCarlo's own site says Boffo came out of Disrupt/0n Creative, a real-time motion-capture animation studio, and debuted with a live cartoon show at LA Comic Con. The virtual-humans directory lists the character as inactive or discontinued; its YouTube channel last posted in October 2025.
