On Warner Music Group's quarterly earnings call, CEO Robert Kyncl said its licensing agreements with Suno, Stability AI, KLAY and Udio should make a material contribution to subscription streaming growth starting in fiscal 2027.
He said Suno is on track to move to a licensed model later this year, as the two companies agreed when they settled, and framed AI as a new way to raise the value of music.
The terms of the Suno agreement remain private. A judge turned down Universal and Sony's request to see the contract, after Suno argued disclosure would chill future settlements.
