Utopai Studios released a major update to PAI, its AI platform for filmmakers, on 15 April. It says the new model can render three-minute videos in 4K, which it bills as an industry first, and that an improved story agent keeps characters, locations and camera style consistent across shots, scenes and edits.
Utopai pitches PAI across the production chain: fast previsualisation to settle camera language and pacing, costly or difficult shots on set, and post-production fixes such as continuity repairs, lighting tweaks, object swaps and localisation. The release also adds multi-shot sequencing, repeated editing passes, more voice variety, better character likeness and simpler pricing.
The company says PAI is already used on Hollywood film and TV productions and that it does not train on copyrighted material. Its founders frame the update as a shift from single-purpose AI tools toward systems that carry a story through the whole process.
