Suno released version 5.5 of its music model in March around three personalisation features. Voices lets Pro and Premier subscribers record or upload their own singing and generate songs with it; Custom Models lets them fine-tune the model on their own tracks, up to three times; and My Taste, open to all, learns which genres and moods a user favours.
To stop people cloning someone else, Voices has users record a randomly generated phrase that is matched against the uploaded vocal. Voice profiles stay private, with sharing promised later.
Suno called the features groundwork for models it plans to launch with the music industry later in the year, a line The Decoder reads against its ongoing label lawsuits.
