Snapchat has bundled AI creative tools into Lens+, its premium tier, and the headline one turns a chat message into a song: pick a message and a genre, and the system writes and produces a track. It borrows a trend from short-video apps where people generate songs from their conversations, which platforms are now building in rather than losing.
The rest is image work: repairing blinks and bad lighting, recasting photos in new settings, generated fonts and stickers. Snapchat+ users separately get a 3D model of their home for the Snap Map.
Unanswered, Digital Music News notes, is which model powers the songs. Snapchat holds deals with all three majors and several publishers and distributors; whether any touch the new tool is unknown.
