James Sagan, whose Architect Capital paid $535 million in May for 16% of OnlyFans, says the platform will "never use AI in any capacity to disrupt creators". He made the pledge in an interview with The Information's Jessica Lessin, who disclosed that her husband co-invested in the deal.
Sagan said AI would be used only in ways that help creators, and ruled out automating chats or putting bots between creators and fans. Asked for an example, he declined to give specifics, saying only that language models could help people scale their personality authentically. His argument is that in a flood of synthetic content, genuine human connection becomes the scarce thing.
His line echoes CEO Keily Blair, who has said OnlyFans offers no built-in AI chat tools, while admitting some creators paste in chatbot-written messages. The platform already bans fully AI-generated accounts.
Tubefilter is sceptical. Creators recently told USA Today they struggle against imposter accounts that use AI to steal their faces and bodies, and Sagan left the door open to future language-model tools without saying what they would do. His other goals include easing creators' trouble with banks and payment processors and eventually taking OnlyFans public.
