Google has signed Jimmy Donaldson, known as MrBeast, to a multiyear deal to promote its Gemini chatbot along with Google Health and Fitbit. The news landed a day after his co-written book with James Patterson came out.
The first video, from September 5, sends his crew into Arctic, jungle and desert conditions, with Gemini used on camera to spot hazards and cope with the weather. He will also be the face of a new Gemini ad campaign built around planning his stunts, and wear a Fitbit Air in a later challenge. Google frames it as him using AI to pull off bigger ideas and showing fans how to do the same.
Tubefilter notes he has about 515 million subscribers, draws 4 to 6 billion monthly views and already works with brands such as Disney and Salesforce.
