Tamasha Studios

An Indian studio, founded by Mithilesh Bhagat, that makes AI-led content across micro-dramas, web series, films, television serials, animation and hybrid productions that combine AI with live action.

The studio says it does not treat AI as a gimmick or just a faster production tool, and is exploring what the technology does in each format. Its approach, as described in press coverage, combines Indian storytelling with emerging AI tools, with global cinematic ambitions.

Its best-known work is the AI short Sitara (2026), made by filmmaker and creative collaborator Abhik Banerjee in association with Rollsound Studios. Per Indian Television, Sitara took second place at the 2026 Astana AI Film Festival in Kazakhstan (8,067 entries from 125 countries, 25 finalists), and Banerjee received the Outstanding Artistic Achievement recognition. The prize is reported as $250,000 by Indian Television and $200,000 by Entrackr.
